Hello! I’m Becky Johnson, a wife and mother of 4 daughters, one son and a son-in-law and am a lover of all things homemade.
I love the joy that comes from creating and fostering homemaking skills!
My mother was an amazing seamstress, along with my grandmother. I also have sisters who love to sew.
I loved seeing what they created and the joy it brought them.
My love of sewing was nurtured through making dresses and clothes for my girls when they were little.
I’ve also loved making things to beautify my home like pillows, bedding, window treatments, etc.
You can do so much with simple sewing skills! And I’d love to share those skills and that joy and satisfaction with others!
I’m especially excited to work alongside my youngest daughter Kate, who also loves to sew and create.
We are so excited to have the SewStudio that allows us the opportunity to share!

Located in Newbury Park. SewStudio provides classes for all skill levels in a fun environment.
Learn Basic Sewing Knowledge & Skills
Every student starts with the same two projects to ensure basic sewing knowledge and skill sets are met before moving on to more challenging projects.
The first project is a simple pillow, and then each student will go on to make their beginner bag.
Students will then use this bag to transport their projects to and from class.
As skill level increases, students can go on to more challenging projects.
